Improvise: Verb. to make, provide, or arrange from whatever materials are readily available.

I think most potters, if they're serious... can build just about anything they need. it comes with the position and the fact that we cant afford everything new, or the thing we need just isn't in existence.. so what do we do? can we build it? yes we can! (bob)

Because I don't have a camera close to show you the pots I've been making I thought I'd flip through the archives again and pull something that looked cool. Well, here it is...

Can anybody guess what it is and what it does?

  1. Hmmm... The basin is to catch slip that is poured over the outside of the vessel, then you step on the basketball to squirt slip upwards into the inside of the vessel????
What ever it is, it's a great MacGyver job!

  2. have you ever seen one of those emergency eye wash stations? this is a cheaper version i saw in China.

actually you're right. except instead of slip they were using it for glaze.

  3. I just have a good eye for figuring out things...
